enjoy seeing all the hard work come together once an event happens. My favorite part is hearing the stories and memories students share afterward—it’s what makes the effort worthwhile.
This is my 19th year with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, where I previously spent 14 years as a classroom teacher. As both an educator and a parent of an 11-year-old, I understand the importance of providing students with meaningful events and extracurricular opportunities that enhance Student Life.
I believe school should be both fun and educational, and I am passionate about building school spirit while encouraging students to get involved and make lasting memories here at Varela.
