The Artificial Intelligence Magnet Program at Felix Varela Senior High School provides technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled careers. The intention of this program is to prepare students to be successful both personally and professionally in an AI-based society.
Students will learn career ready practices that will prepare them to:
- Act as responsible and contributing citizens and employees
- Communicate clearly, effectively and with reason
- Consider the environmental, social and economic impacts of their decisions
- Demonstrate creativity and innovation
- Employ valid and reliable research strategies
- Model integrity, ethical leadership and effective management
- Use technology to enhance productivity
- Work productively in teams while using cultural/global competence

Artificial Intelligence Requirements:
- 2.0 unweighted GPA in core courses
- 2.0 average GPA in conduct
- No more than 10 unexcused absences or 20 tardies in the previous year
