Course Description:

In this course, you will learn about the most important features of various Adobe Products. You will start by learning the interface, working with various tools and panels. Next, you will learn techniques for creating stunning text effects and incorporating gradients into your work. You will learn how to use the Pen tool to draw and compose a complex illustration. You will explore techniques for transforming and distorting objects, work with layers, patterns, brushes, effects, and transparency, and enjoy an in-depth exploration of the Recolor Artwork feature. You will make graphs, draw with symbols, create 3D objects, and have fun using the Width tool, the Bristle brush and the Perspective Grid. Finally, you will learn how to prepare a document for pre-press and printing, as well as how to prepare graphics, illustrations, & digital media.

 

Introduction to Engineering Component
Course Description:

The goal of the intro course is to provide the student with an understanding of the engineering field and profession, and provide enough depth to model the functions of an engineer in different areas of specialization. In addition, the student will be able to start to form a plan for their educational objectives.
Specifically, the student will be able to:

  1. Describe the main disciplines and functions of engineering in industry by:
  • Researching information on the different disciplines and functions.
  • Writing a research paper making a choice of discipline and function as it relates to their own objectives.
  • Identifying the degree that they must obtain by finding entry level positions in their chosen field.
  1. Develop a career guide, including educational and professional options.
  2. Understand the requirements for professional registration.
  3. Understand issues related to ethics and safety.
  4. Understand engineering problem solving methodology and be able to apply it.
  5. Work on projects, including team or group assignments; understand project management, research, oral presentations, etc.
